Madeline has over 15 years experience as a corporate/commercial lawyer, advocate, arbitrator and accredited commercial mediator and dispute resolution specialist who specializing in providing corporate and commercial legal support, domestic and international arbitration, commercial mediation and dispute management.5Ms Kimei is currently on various panels including Chairperson for Arbitrations, European Commission; Shanghai International Arbitration Centre -SHIAC (-2026); Bali International Arbitration & Mediation Center (BIAMC); SADC – AFSA; List of Arbitrators, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC); Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators (TIArb); Tanzania International Arbitration Centre (TIAC) and National Construction Council of Tanzania (NCC).
She has acted as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and presiding arbitrator in ad-hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings under the ICC, CRCICA, UNCITRAL and TIArb arbitration rules.
As Counsel in Arbitration, Ms. Kimei has represented clients in arbitrations relating to various sectors i.e. telecommunications; insurance; banking, real estate development, employment and mining.
Ms. Kimei is a serving Member, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) International Court of Arbitration – Paris; Member of the Accreditation Panel (Neutrals), Ministry of Constructional and Legal Affairs Tanzania; Member, Africa Users Council, Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC); Ambassador, ICC International Court of Arbitration, Africa Commission 2021-24; Member, Lagos Chamber of Commerce International Arbitration Centre, Court of Arbitration; President, Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators (TIArb) and Director at the Tanzania International Arbitration Centre (TIAC); Regional Director at CiADR; and Member of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) Users’ Council.

Ms.Msomba is a practising advocate and her practice is centered around corporate and commercial law, concrete legal research and presentation and litigation of disputes. Emmy holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) from Mzumbe University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law School of Tanzania. She awaits to be awarded Master of Law in Oil and Gas from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). She is a member of Tanganyika Law Society.
Mercy Okiro is an Accredited Tutor and Assessor of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London) and the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA) as well as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Kenya School of Law. She holds a Master of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of Nairobi. She is awaiting the award of a Master of Laws degree in International Commercial and Investment Arbitration from the Queen Mary University of London. She holds professional qualifications in corporate governance, ESG issues, legal audits, and the resolution of sports disputes. She was feted in 2019 as the “The Young African Arbitration Practitioner of the year 2019”, was listed as one of Africa’s Most Promising Young Arbitrators 2020 by the Association of Young Arbitrators and was named as 2nd runners ADR Practitioner of the Year in 2021 by the Law Society of Kenya, Nairobi Branch.
